Day 9 - Vocals & Bass

We already have a pic of Tommy, so lets skip that and show some pics of Vocals being done by Adam.

Jackson Lindsay is almost completely finished Vocally and instumentally. It sounds so differently and better (in my opinion) to how we originally wrote it, but I guess that is the point of a producer.

Day 8 - um..

We had a little too much to drink, so I wasn’t able to upload pictures last night.

I was out all day taking pictures of Matt’s car so he can sell it. Interested?

Anyway, here is a nice pic of Tyse (our backup dancer) under the influence.

Vocals were to begin tomorrow.

Day 7 - Bass and Vocals

Bass has been going on all day with Tommy locked in the room learning new parts.

Adam will start vocals tonight, so I will post up pictures a bit later tonight.

Also the air con is broken so we are steaming.

Day 5 - Guitar/Piano

Day 5 was all about Guitar and Piano for Escape.

Bogner make beautiful amps, and here are some of the pedals used.

More guitars will be done over the weekend.

Day 4 - Boring..

Day 4 was probably the most boring and unproductive day so far for the band. It consisted of editting the drums and my guitars. However I went to redo a few parts of Jackson Lindsay and a little bit of Collide. Credit to Ben for the pictures.

Tomorrow we are doing something we have never done in the studio before. Will be great.

Day 3 - Drums done!

It’s midnight at the end of Day 3 and drums for all songs have been complete.

My personal guitar parts have been completed for Jackson Lindsay thanks to Tyse’s help, but I don’t have any pictures of myself, so here is a cute pic of Blake (fml).

Day 3 - Drums and Guitar

Day 3 started with Matt bringing his dog (Blake) to the studio. So basically all morning involved playing with him, he looks sad.. Really he is happy though.

After this and a little bit before drums started Matt and Nathan spent alot of time finding sounds for sampling and synths.

Then drums started for Escape.

Next were my guitars.. The choices:
- Fender 72 Tele Deluxe (mine)
- Fender 52RI Tele MIA
- Gretsch White Falcon
- 1971 Gibson LP Custom

For the overdriven part of Jackson Lindsay I chose my 72 Tele. I will go with the LP for the heavier parts which will be recorded tonight.

Day 2 - Drums.. Kind of.

Firstly, I had my camera stolen by Isabelle today so none of the following pictures were taken by me.

Day 2 started off with the intention of doing drums, however Matt Bartlem (producer) changed alot of the drum parts so it took a little bit.. So what is there to do when we can’t record music?

Ride bikes of course..

- Matt Bartlem and Andrew (drummer of Vital Signs)

Although when we were done with that, the drums for Jackson Lindsay were completed. Guitars and drums continue tomorrow..
